- Keep your abs tight. Think of using your abs to control the space between your ribs and the front of your pelvis, and don’t let them get further apart as you move in order to stabilize your spine.
- Stand in a split-stance, with the weight on the side of your trailing leg.
- Press the bar overhead while keeping your shoulder pulled down away from your ears so that you don’t shrug.
